Description
Very unusual, very rare antique Bailey & Brainard silver plated coffee/teapot. Features a gate leaping horse finial on top of the lid. The handle has a lady's bust, while the side has a medallion of a woman holding what appears to be an olive branch and a bouquet (Greco/Roman style-Olympic?). The four feet each have a lions head above them. There is blueing/tarnishing throughout, which can be left as is or polished. The back side (thankfully) has a dent measuring approximately 1 1/2" tall by 2" wide. Measures 9" tall, 8 1/2" from front to back, 5" wide and weighs 2 lbs 5 oz.
