Tekswamp technicians process around 1000 projectors each month.
During their testing and refurbishing, they come across projectors that do not meet our stringent requirements and are put aside to be used for parts. It's the bare OEM bulbs from those projectors that are pulled, tested to assure they are at OEM spec for white balance, record the actual hours used and repacked to be sold/shipped as an OEM bare bulb. In many cases, these bulbs have low hours or no usage in the projectors they came from.  It is not uncommon for us to get projectors with no or very little use until they pulled and replaced with newer models. This is why we warranty our OEM bare bulbs.
