    Description

Exquisite Antique English Sheffield Silverplate Ribbed Teapot
Presented is a wonderful antique English Sheffield silverplate teapot by
Harrison Bros & Howson. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s.
The teapot is made in a very classical design, with bold vertical ribbed
decoration around the lower half and bands of gadrooning around the top and lid.
The handle and finial are exceptionally well carved, with the best patina you
could want, very smooth and mellow. Capacity of about 6 cups (48 fluid
    ounces/1.4 liters).
This piece is hallmarked with the crown mark for the city of Sheffield, a
maker's mark of HB & HS for Harrison Bros & Howson, and 'Warranted Hard
    Solder.'
This piece is in great overall condition. There is a few minor dings here and
there, but nothing super noticeable. There are no splits, no dents, no leaks, no
monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This pot stands about 8 inches tall and measures about 10 1/2 inches from
spout to handle, or about 4 1/4 inches wide.
This piece weighs 699 grams or 24.7 regular ounces.
