The saffron flower, crocus sativus, is one of the most valued flowers in the world, for its singular pistils that make precious spices. The saffron spice is one of the most expensive in the world, earning its name "red gold."
Cultivated since the fifth century BC in the Middle East, saffron was renowned for its therapeutic qualities and was seen in abundance at the table of Achaemenid rulers. Today, it flavors the finest dishes, tints the noblest ornaments, and adds light to the most sophisticated cosmetics.
150,000 to 300,000 flowers are harvested to obtain just 1 kilo of saffron. The pistils are handpicked, flower by flower, with a delicate gesture, just like that of the sculptor composing the bouquet and carpet of saffron on the vases of this collection.
An ode to a demanding yet delicate spice trade, the Saffron collection narrates the story of the blossoming flower in the sandy and sunny lands, and the harvesting of the delicate pistils. Like the yellow-gold spice that colors our dishes, the Saffron pieces are tinted in rich, warm hues, evolving from amber to red.

Shipping Information:
We aim to ship all your orders within 3-30 days, but some of our manufactures have changed to pre-order only, meaning that the item is only available on pre-order which means it must be manufactured which can delay the delivery time. We do hold a lot of stock in our warehouse, but it could be you order something which needs to be pre-ordered. Please contact us prior to making a purchase so that we can inform you of the delivery date before you decide to make your order to avoid any unforeseen delays.
We ship with DHL, Fedex, UPS and in some cases also Postal Parcel Service depending on the best network to deliver to you. We insure each shipment from breakage or loss and always provide a Tracking Number which we upload to ebay.
We offer a 14 day return shipping policy so, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, it is the buyer's responsibility and cost to send it back in the original condition it was received with all the original packaging boxes and it must be shipped with full insurance incase of breakage in transit on the way back to origin.
In the unlikely case that the item arrived damaged to you, please do not throw any of the boxes or packaging away, as we will need photos of the item and packaging materials for the insurance and shipping company. We will of course offer you a refund or replacement if available. Please do communicate with us if this happens within 24 hours of receiving the item as it needs to be recorded as soon as it arrives.
