    Description

Edicraft appliances were a high-end brand made by Edison and introduced in 1928. They were discontinued in 1934 because of the depression, so they are fairly hard to find.
The siphonator was advertised as a new process of making coffee. It is not a percolator but more along the lines of the first drip coffee maker. The left reservoir is filled with water, while the right side contains the ground coffee. As the water heats, it shoots out of the spout inside over the basket and the coffee drips into the right reservoir. After the brewing process is complete, you end up with coffee on the right and hot water on the left for either tea or weakening coffee which is what the brochures said. This one is in far better shape than most you find, and works great. I made coffee in it just the other weekend just to make sure it was still operating normally. Internal parts are all stainless steel (very ahead of its time) and the outer shell is nickel plated. Comes with the power cord which is in good shape.
